Why reviews get skipped
A review feels like admin, so it is always the first thing dropped in a busy week. The honest fix is to make it so small that skipping it is almost more effort than doing it.
The three questions
Two minutes, on the same page as the week you planned:
- What actually moved this week?
- What is still sitting there, and why?
- What is the one thing I want true by next Friday?
Write the answers, do not just think them. The written version is what next week actually reads.
Close the loop on tasks
Anything that has rested for three weeks is not pending, it is stuck. Either schedule it to a specific day, break it into a smaller first step, or delete it. Deleting a task you will never do is not failure, it is housekeeping.
Anchor it to something you already do
Attach the review to the last cup of coffee on a Friday, or the moment you shut the laptop. Habit stacking is what keeps a two-minute ritual alive for months rather than days.
