Clutter compounds

A downloads folder with forty files becomes impossible to find anything in, so you stop looking and re-download instead. The mess costs you time twice — once to accumulate and once to work around.

Fifteen minutes, four jobs

Pick one page and one slot a week:

  1. Clear the downloads folder
  2. Empty the camera roll into an album or the bin
  3. Unsubscribe from five emails
  4. Close the browser tabs you are never going to read

Decide, do not defer

Every item gets kept, filed or deleted. A maybe pile is just a slower version of the same problem, and it will be waiting next week with friends.

Keep a capture page instead of a junk pile

Anything you genuinely want to keep goes on one notes page with a line about why. That single habit stops the good stuff from being lost in the noise and stops the noise from being kept as if it were good stuff.

Where this lives in a planner

Every technique above has a home on the Notes & Ideas — Mint Fresh — undated, A4, and ready for GoodNotes, Notability or a home printer. Not ready to buy? Download the free starter kit and try the method first.
